If anything has taught us that learning changes, certainly the pandemic has played a huge part in that. Before the pandemic began I considered myself a very tech savvy teacher. I was always utilizing iPads, Chromebooks, and my Clear Touch Panel. I would be the person many of the teachers on campus went to in order to learn how to integrate technology into their lessons. However like me and many people across the world, we had to adapt to a huge change in our lives. Utilizing technology even more to continue doing our jobs. Change is very important because nothing stays the same over time. Especially in education. Adapting to the use of technology seemingly made us fast forward into the position where we were headed. Students and teachers had to learn how to communicate and be accountable for their own actions under little to no supervision. Although, I am a big fan of blended learning and the use of technology, we also have to take a step back sometimes and be sure students can not only exhibit skills through the use of technology but also can do them physically. I learned that many of my students relied to heavily on their devices to communicate where simple tasks such as conversing and writing became more challenging. Opportunities to grow need to available for all students.
