I MADE IT!!! This year has flown by so quickly. For my last two course in the ADL program, I was enrolled in 5315 and 5320. During 5315, I was able to create a research plan to identify and analyze data that applied to how my innovation plan worked. However, since my plan will begin the implementation process in the fall of 2023, I did not have any data available. Since this was the case I worked to showcase a plan that included questions, surveys and research methods that I would use when the process is in full swing. The most difficult task in this course was the literature review. There were many challenges that came along with this assignment such as locating reliable references and the lack of information relevant to the topic. However, with the help of Dr. M and ADL members, I was able to accomplish presenting information that showed the impacts of implementing ePortfolios in third through fifth grade classrooms.

My last and final course to this program was the ADL Capstone. In this course, I enjoyed being able to reflect on my journey throughout this year. I detailed how the COVA strategy was something that I had difficulty with at first, but ended up being a life changing thing for me as a learner and educator. What I learned throughout the program is that there are many ways to prove that a skill has been learned. Although quite intimidating at first, I appreciated that we as students were able to produce our own materials to show our understanding of the skills and concepts of our courses. Lastly to wrap up 5320, I created a slide presentation detailing the journey throughout the ADL program. As this was my last assignment in the program, I was able to reflect on my progress from the beginning to the end.

I could not imagine proceeding through this program by myself. There aren’t any words that could describe my team that helped me throughout the ADL program. Although I collaborated with many individuals through the program, my main collaborators were: Dawn Short, Ashleigh Carter, Kristin Winzer, Valary Patterson, Annababette Dimecke and Adrianne Ortiz.

As my score for my contribution to learning in both classes, I will give myself a 96/100 as I continue to work with my classmates to improve quality of work and content. I relied heavily on my classmates but also remained active on our GroupMe chat and provided feedback to ADL members’ assignments. I continued to virtually meet with members and provide support for new members. Many of us in the program have become close and I am happy to consider them friends.

Score: 96/100
