5315 - Measurement Strategy, Connecting & Communicating Ideas, Final Compilation Post
As we near the end of this course, we now have the opportunity to connect Innovation Plan, Literature Review and Action Research Plan altogether. The Action Research Plan consists of four stages:
To begin our Action Research Plan we were tasked with generating a fundamental research question that connected the topic and research pertaining to our innovation plan. On this page you will find compilation of the materials that address the following:
Action Research Topic
Overall Purpose of the Study Research
Design and Type of Data Collected Literature Review Pertaining to the Topic
The Action Research Plan also addresses them implementation of the innovation projects, the methods used to collect data, how the results will be communicated and a reflection of the entire process.
The first assignment in this course required us to develop an Action Research Outline in order to serve as a guide for me to follow throughout the process of researching. The second and most challenging assignment (for me at least) in this course is the Literature Review. Although, searching for articles and locating reliable information can be tedious, I was able to locate information regarding benefits of ePortfolios and the challenges that some schools face with technology. Lastly, our third assignment tasked us with creating an Action Research Plan. This was one of the most interesting assignments I have worked on in the ADL program. As I am nearing the end of the ADL journey, the Action Research Plan provides an opportunity to research the overall effectiveness of my innovation plan. Although, I will not be able to put my plan into action until next school year, I was able to prepare ways in which to collect data and reflect on the future process.
