BIG HAIRY AUDACIOUS GOAL
3-Column Table
The purpose of the Big Hairy Audacious Goal is to drive progress forward by thinking of big picture plans for long term success.  In the 3-column table below, I have prepared a plan to implement in a third grade classroom where learners will begin the construction of their personal e-portfolios.  In this plan, learners will take place in classroom discussions, surveys, opportunities to showcase learned skills by uploading content to their e-portfolio.

"If someone needs directions, don’t give them a globe. It’ll merely waste their time. But if someone needs to understand the way things are, don’t give them a map. They don’t need directions; they need to see the big picture."

Learning Environment & Situational Factors to Consider
During the completion of the e-portfolio course, there are a variety of factors that will impact the program's success.  Factors that need to be considered can include classroom size, time, availability of tools and access to technology. Characteristics of the learners and the teachers must also be taken into consideration.  Here are a few of the considering factors that I believe will impact the learning environment and success of the course.

Questions for Formulating Significant Learning GOals
In order for students to be successful in the completion of this course, there are certain skills that they must be able to demonstrate.  While keeping the BHAG in consideration, I created a set of goals and ideas that the learners must know and show.  The goals provided enlists the idea that students demonstrate the skills for building their personal e-portfolio while also having a choice in how they showcase skills learned throughout the academic year.

"Developing personal portfolios incorporates many different technology tools, but it is also a process of self-reflection and personal growth. The process is very personal -- a story of self that involves a great deal of self-reflection and thought.
